Maintaining the skin’s barrier function and avoiding extreme dryness are both benefits of moisturizing.

  5. Avoid Too Much Sun: Sun exposure can reduce acne symptoms momentarily, but it can also damage skin over time and make acne worse. To protect your skin, use broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, and avoid the sun for as long as you can.

  6. Maintain a Healthy Diet: While there is no one-size-fits-all dietary solution for acne, some people may find that certain foods aggravate their acne. Examine your diet and try to identify any triggers. Some people are particularly sensitive to foods high in refined sugars, dairy products, and greasy or fried foods.

  9. Consult a Dermatologist: If over-the-counter acne treatments are ineffective, or if you have severe or persistent acne, it is best to seek professional help. To effectively manage your acne, a dermatologist may offer personalized guidance, issue stronger prescriptions, or suggest in-office procedures.

  10. Be Patient: Acne treatment takes time, so be patient and stick to your skincare routine. Results may not be apparent right away, and it is critical to stick to your regimen for several weeks or months to see progress.
