PULSE

The rhythmatically ups and downs movement of blood in arteries is called as pulse. The study of pulse is called as sphygmology. Contraction and relaxation is also called as pulse. When the Contracts, it pushes blood into the arteries, causing a pressure wave that travels along the vessel walls. This wave of pressure is what we perceive as a Pulse. The pulse rate, measured in beats per minute (bpm) is the no-of these waves felt in a minute.

Pulse is found by pulse rate. Pulse rate is of two types Normal pulse rate and Activated pulse rate.

Normal Pulse rate: [60-100]

 

Symptoms:

* Steady and regular beats.

*Typically ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute for adults at rest.

*Comfortable, without any noticeable pounding or discomfort.

Causes:

 * It can be influenced by factors like age, physical fitness, temperature and body position.

 Activated Pulse rate: [80-120]

Symptoms: 

* Rapid or racing heart beat.

* Chest discomfort or tightness Dizziness (or) shortness of breath.

Causes:

*Physical activity, stress or Anxiety.

* Stimulants, Fever or infection.

* Heart Exposure.
